24 April 2018 – It’s a three horse race at the Mopane SAB League stream A led by the defending champions Wilson Express FC. Hot on their heels are the in-form Jackson Young Stars FC and Mpepule United FC who are behind them with 5 and 8 points respectively.
All three title contenders were in action over the weekend and none of them suffered any setback and scored a collective total of 21 goals.
Mpepule defeated Dzekula Sky Masters 4-0 and Sugar Canes 2-0 on Saturday and Sunday respectively, Young Stars registered a 4-0 victory over Joe Smiling before handing Mninginisi M Bulls a 2-0 thrashing.
The log leaders, Express easily brushed aside Gwambe Hungry Lions 3-0 before putting Big Ten FC to the sword with a 7-1 thumping.
Wilson coach Kaizer Hlungwani said his team’s current record is all a product of hard work from his boys and dedication from his technical team.
“Our slogan is “WE ARE SIMPLY THE BEST AND UNSTOPABLE” and it is something I constantly drill into the players. They need to believe that they are the best and that only comes with positive results and me as the coach constantly reminding them that they are unstoppable” says Hlungwani.
Wilson Express and Mpepule United are all on the road on Saturday to visit Joe Smiling Boys FC and Mamaila Citizens respectively whilst Jackson Young Stars welcome Mamaila Tigers FC at the home ground.
