14 April 2018 – 2017 COSAFA U-20 Champions, Amajita will begin their 2018 calendar this coming weekend when they go into their first camp of the year, ahead of what promises to be a busy year for the regional champions.

The Burger King-sponsored South African Men’s under-20 National Team, will be in camp between 15 and 25 April 2018, where they will begin their preparations for the upcoming 2019 CAF Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Amajita are scheduled begin their qualifiers on 11 May 2018 in the second round when they will play the winners between Mozambique and Seychelles.

The 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will be hosted by Niger from 24 February – 10 March 2019.

Amajita had a prosperous 2017 season where they came fourth in the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, qualified for the 2017 FIFA World Cup in Korea, won the COSAFA U-20 Championship, while most of the players debuted for the club’s senior teams and are now regulars in their respective starting line ups.

Head Thabo Senong will have his hands full from this weekend as he tries to emulate these successes with a brand new squad. He has called up 32 players for this training camp.
