5 April 2018 The South African U17 Men’s National Football team played two tough practice matches on Wednesday, 4 April which they both won as part of the squad’s training camp.

Molefi Ntseki’s boys thrashed the University of Johannesburg’s U17 side 7-1 before hammering  Bidvest Wits U17  4-1 in matches played at the University of Johannesburg’s Bunting Road campus.

Although Ntseki was impressed with the scoreline, it was the least of his worries as his focus was more on how the boys applied his technical instructions.

“We are very impressed with firstly the players level of fitness. This is always a huge obstacle for us when the players first come into camp and playing two high intense matches is not easy.  There were some great moments from the boys. Some individual, others in pairs and of course as a group and some not so great moments which we will look at during our video analysis sessions” said Ntseki

The Amajimbos mentor expressed his satisfaction on how well the boys are gradually grasping his vision and that they were showing signs of national team material.

“I believe that they are seeing the vision we have for them. I am happy to see that that they are growing mentally, technically and tactically however we still have a lot of work to do as we continue with the training camp” concluded Ntseki.
