4 April 2018 – The ABC Motsepe League continues this coming weekend with more exciting action in the Free State. With teams such as Eastern Cape’s Tornado and Limpopo’s Dolphins already booking their play-off spots, top Free State clubs will be looking to follow in their footsteps.

This afternoon, 4 April sees Bloemfontein Young Tigers hosting Tshiame All Stars in Botshabelo in what should be a tense top four encounter. Tigers currently sit in second place with 52 points while Stars occupy fourth and are still in contention for the play-offs with 6 points less and a game in hand.

Bloemfontein Celtic FC then travel to Charles Mopeli to take on African Warriors. The away team sit in in third place and will be desperate for all three points.

Table-toppers Mangaung Unite then entertain Dikwena United FC and will be looking to maintain their first place and edge closer to that all important play-off spot. Unite have simply worked too hard to let things slip at this point of their campaign.

Free State Stars then tackle Lijabatho FC at the Free State Academy on Saturday. The away team currently have the joint worst goal difference of -17 and will be looking to tighten up at the back.

Harmony FC will have a tough assignment when they travel to Central University although both teams will be playing for nothing more than pride with both out of the running for top spots.

Relegation threatened DLA2 FC will be up against it when they welcome Kovsies FC in their own den and will no doubt be going all out for a full bag of points.

Days FC and Kingston FC will then lock horns at the Zuka Baloyi Stadium in what should be an intense match-up, particularly with the away team looking to climb out of the bottom three. Days on the other hand will be hoping to cement a top eight spot and end their campaign on a high.

In the day’s final fixture, Sibanye Golden Stars will attempt to tame Young Masters at the Bronville Stadium with the latter looking like relegation certainties. The home team will do well not to underestimate their wounded opponents, who will be gunning for all three points and hope that other results go their way in the effort to somehow fashion a miracle and remain in the second division.
