27 February 2018 – The draw results of the 2019 U20 Africa Cup of Nations were released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Sunday, 25 February to determine which nations will square off against each other for a place in next year’s U20 showpiece set to take place in Niger.

Following a third-place finish in the last tournament which saw them qualify for the U20 World Cup in Korea, Amajita have a bye in the first round and will wait for the winners between Seychelles and Mozambique to determine who they will meet in the second round of qualifiers.

The winners of the second round will then advance to the third and final round to determine who advances to the 2019 African showpiece.

“This is one of the tournaments we look forward to where we test ourselves against the best on the African continent. We have done quite well in recent tournaments and now have the opportunity to do even better but first, we need to qualify for the tournament which will not come easy,” said Amajita coach, Thabo Senong.
