16 February 2018 – The 2018 Nedbank Cup draw for the last 16 was conducted on Thursday, 15 February 2018 in Johannesburg in which the highlight of the draw is a date between ABC Motsepe side EC Bees of Eastern Cape versus giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

EC Bees who are currently top of their provincial league standings are participating in their third consecutive Nedbank Cup tournament and know the ins and outs of playing in this prestigious tournament.

Bees Team Manager, Siphiwo Bukani believes that although they have a tough task ahead of them when they face PSL giants and log leaders Sundowns, they will make great use of the opportunity and will not go down without a fight.

“We have the toughest draw in the last 16, but we will not be discouraged. We know what playing against Mamelodi Sundowns requires. We want to ensure that we take advantage of this to the best of our abilities and push them all the way,” said Bukani.

“We want to impose our style of play, promote the quality of players we have and learn as much as possible from them. We will not go down without a fight; even on their home turf,” added Bukani.
