27 January 2017 – Coach of the South African U20 Women’s national team, Maud Khumalo has named her starting line up ahead of a crucial FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Nigeria at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, in Benin City at 16h00 local time.

Basetsana have a tough task of reversing a 2-0 scoreline suffered in the first leg of the qualifiers two weeks ago in Polokwane.

Syamthanda Mbatha comes on in the place of Noxolo Cesane at right back who has been shifted to left back.

Kaylyn Jordaan will partner with the ever-green Bongeka Gamede as the central pair with Mbatha and Cesane at left and right respectively.

DUT Midlands midfielder, Snegugu Zondi will anchor the midfield with Sibulele Holweni and Lelona Daweti operating on the left and right wings. Basetsana playmaker, Linda Motlhalo will be working closely with skillful Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Karabo Dhlamini.

Thambolinye Mzoneli retains her position up front as the lone striker.
