21 January 2018 – Interim coach of the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana, Desiree Ellis, has announced the starting lineup to face Sweden in an international friendly match scheduled for the Cape Town Stadium this afternoon (Sunday, 21 January).

Kickoff is at 14h00.

Striker Sduduzo Dlamini will make her debut as Ellis makes four changes to the team that defeated Burkina Faso in October.

Goalkeeper Kaylin Swart takes the place of Andile Dlamini while the defence remains unchanged.

Lebohang Ramalepe starts at right back, with Nothando Vilakazi is at left back while captain Janine van Wyk plays alongside Bambanani Mbane in central defence.

In the middle of the park, Refiloe Jane, who was rested against Burkina Faso due to fatigue, returns to the starting lineup where she partners with Nompumelelo Nyandeni, who hasn’t been in the starting line up in a very long time.

Leandra Smeda and Thembi Kgatlana are the other wingers, while the strike Chantelle Esau, assisted by Dlamini, will lead the strike force.
