17 October 2017 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) today Tuesday, 17 October 2017, concluded MySAFA system training with the North West Province.

A total of 25 football administrators from various LFA’s and Regions gathered at the headquarters of South African football to get up to speed with registration and competitions back office systems.

The ground-breaking technology which is in line with one of the Association’s Vision 2022 pillars of creating a world class administration system is set to be a game-changer in South African football.

Through its direct link with the Department of Home Affairs, the MySAFA system is set to curb a lot of age cheating which has plagued the beautiful game over the years.

The MySAFA Competitions system will also see one centralised registration database that will see the association having accurate records of all players, coaches referees and administrators involved in football.

Amongst other things, the administrators were trained on how to register a player, facilitate the process of transferring players from one club to the other, updating fixtures, results and log tables to mention just a few.

Speaking after the workshop, SAFA Digital’s Jason Anderson explained how much of a benefit it will be for all leagues and competitions to be using the MySAFA registration system.

“The MySAFA registration system will definitely go a long way in ensuring that football administration is professionalised and easily administered.  MYSAFA offers the same set of tools for all levels of amateur football — from grassroots to the SASAOL and ABC Motsepe Leagues. This will in turn improve the standard of football on the pitch with less administrative issues affecting the development and progress of football” said Anderson.
