25 August 2017 – Preparations for the 2017/18 season of the ABC Motsepe League are in full swing with Limpopo and North West kicking off the league’s roadshows this week.

SAFA’s Head of Competitions, Thomas Sadiki, alongside the Association’s Integrity Officer, Mlungisi Ncame and Legal Officer, Teboho Motlanthe are currently on a provincial roadshow to ensure that all provinces are ready to kick off what is expected to be a tough but exciting season.

The trio is currently in KwaZulu-Natal with the final provincial visit set for 2 September in the Northern Cape.

The ABC Motsepe League season is expected to kick off on the weekend of 9/10 September across all provinces but preparations have been in full swing from earlier this year.

The current provincial roadshows are aimed at educating club officials and league coordinators about the legal matters and amendments of the league that are to kick off in the new season.

There is also a strong focus on integrity matters of the league which will deal with a number of issues that include match fixing and other illegal factors affecting the league.

“We have kicked off our roadshows on quite a high note, receiving positives feedback and input from the two provinces we have been to. There is a lot of work that needs to be done but we are confident that working closely with the clubs, league coordinators and all other important stakeholders, we can have a successful 2017/18 ABC Motsepe League season” said SAFA’s Competitions Director, Thomas Sadiki.
