24 August 2017 – Proud graduate of the SAB League, Teboho Mokoena continues to set the premiership alight. The 20-year-old who helped Free State win back to back SAB U21 National Championship titles in 2014 and 2015 has been a revelation for Supersport United since joining them two seasons ago.

Besides orchestrating his sides’ winning goal in last night’s league encounter against Kaizer Chiefs, the Bethlehem born midfielder’s consistency saw him represent the nation in the recent FIFA U20 World Cup in Korea which was followed by a Bafana Bafana call up.

It is the midfielder’s calm demeanour and humility that has seen him rise in his football career just like a number of SAB League graduates currently doing well for their teams and country.

“When I look at everything else, I remain grateful to the SAB U21 National Championships. That is where it all began. Not only was I introduced to football at a more competitive level, I had the opportunity of representing my country through the national U20 team, played under quality coaches and of course made a move to Supersport United” Mokoena said.

The recently concluded championships unveiled a number of promising youngsters such as Yusuf Bunting who finished the tournament as the top Goalscorer and player of the tournament.
