20 July 2017 – The South African U17 Boy’s national team (Amajimbos) landed safely in Port Louis, Mauritius on Wednesday night after a long trip from Johannesburg ahead of the 2017 U17 COSAFA Cup.

Amajimbos kick off their COSAFA Cup campaign against Mozambique on Friday, 21 July at 12h30 local time (10h30 SA time) at the Stade Saint Francois Xavier.

They will then take on Zambia two days later with their final Group A match to be played on Tuesday, 25 July against Madagascar.

Group B consists of hosts Mauritius, Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

The team held a training session this morning in preparation of the opening match against Mozambique.

Ntseki’s charges will be hoping to go all the way this year after stumbling at the final hurdle against Namibia last year when they were edged 5-4 on penalties.
