Palace Super Falcon failed to take full advantage and extend their lead at the top as they were held to a 1-1 draw by JVW at the Bedfordview Stadium.

This was the first time Falcon dropped points in 12 matches. Their lead has been cut down to two points – and they are now 34, just two ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns who took full advantage following Palace’s draw and registered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Springs Home Sweepers. Servol FC remains rooted to the bottom of the standings following a 6-0 loss to TUT-PTA, who are third on 30 points. JVW and Springs Home Sweepers complete the top five – they are on 28 and 27 points respectively.

Servol is yet to win a match in 12 outings, with just two draws.

In the Free State, Bloemfontein Celtic continued their excellent run of form after their 10-0 victory against Central University of Free State. Siwelele are on a nine-game unbeaten streak with 27 points, three more than Tsunami Queens in second place.

The Queens, one of the Championship’s early pace setting sides in the Free State suffered their first loss of the season, as they were thrashed 3-0 at home by Ace Milan. The two teams are now tied on 24 points, with Milan in third place due to a superior goals difference.

De’ Scorpion’s scintillating form in the North West continues unabated as they beat We Can Ladies 2-0 at the Tigers Ground to make it eight wins from nine – they have a three-point advantage over second-placed Golden Ladies.

Icons Ladies who have not won any match this season, suffered yet another defeat away to Clive United at the Alabama Stadium – Icons was humiliated with a 19-0 drubbing.

The two streams in Mpumalanga are now in full swing with both Coal City Wizards and Nkomanzi Ladies FC leading the standings in stream A and B respectively. Nkomanzi seems to be back on track following a convincing 8-0 thrashing of TUT Ladies FC to move above Francis Ladies.

In the coastal log of the Eastern Cape, Shayandima remain unbeaten after three rounds of fixtures and are on top spot with nine points. The leaders proved their dominance with a 9-0 hammering of Tshandana Young Stars on Sunday afternoon. On the opposite end of the standings, Team Herman are yet to win a game from their four matches played after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Sister Ladies.
