A total of 37 aspiring coaches obtained their SAFA D Licence badges after going through a five-day coaching course conducted by SAFA at the Ikageng Stadium in Potchefstroom, North West.
The course was held from 23 – 27 May.
The South African Football Association (SAFA), has for the past two months embarked on an ambitious nationwide coaching education rollout programme that has touched a number of coaches across different parts of the country.
Close to 300 coaches have been accredited with the SAFA D Licence in the last two months, an achievement to be proud of according to SAFA’s Head of Coaching, Frans Mogashoa.
“We have been working tirelessly around the clock to ensure that we realise our Vision 2022 goal of training more and more coaches to assist in the development and identification of talent,” said Mogashoa.
“Such courses go a long way in the overall development of football as these are the very same coaches that identify and nurture the future players of our national teams”.
Aspiring coaches interested in acquiring a SAFA Accredited coaching licences are urged to get in touch with their Local Football Associations (LFA) for further information.
