Strikers Liam Jordan and Khanyisa Mayo have joined their Burger King sponsored South African National U20 Men’s teammates at the KNVB base camp in Netherlands.

Amajita left for Netherlands on Wednesday for a week-long camp in Europe.

There are 23 days to go before the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup takes place in South Korea.

The pair arrived in Netherlands on Thursday night from Portugal and Spain respectively. Jordan plays for Lisbon based Sporting CP while Mayo was on trials at Cadiz CF, Spain.

Both players were part of the AFCON squad that qualified for the FIFA World Cup and both boast a good scoring record for Amajita.

Mayo said while he didn’t have a good tournament in Zambia, he was confident of hitting the right form if selected for Korea.

“I have learnt so much while on trials at Cadiz CF and I believe my game has grown immensely in the past few weeks. Being on trial at Cadiz CF has made me realize that I am a master of my own destiny but have to work hard to reap the benefits.

“I have to prove my worth during our stay in Netherlands; I will give my all in training and ensure that the technical team have a good headache when finalizing the squad,” said Mayo.

Ends.
