The Eastern Cape leg of the ABC Motsepe League seems set for a photo finish. With just four rounds of matches remaining, only one point separates EC Bees and Future Young Tigers and the title showdown looks set to go down to the wire.

Young Ideas FC did not do their relegation survival hopes any good after suffering their second consecutive defeat with a 3-2 loss to Matatiele Professionals. Swartkops Valley United Brothers campaign in the ABC Motsepe League is also hanging by a thread after they were defeated 3-2 by Future Tigers FC. This has pushed Swartkops into the danger zone – with only three points separating them from the bottom two.
Callies FC were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Matta Milan in the only match that ended in a stalemate, while Mdantsane Mighty Bucks ran rampant over Morning Stars as they emerged 3-0 victors.
Tornado FC maintained their top four position with a nail-biting 3-2 win over a resilient Mthatha City.
The match of the week was the seven-goal thriller between Walter Sisulu University and FC Buffalo with the University side winning 4-3.
The Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League action will resume this weekend as the title race edges closer to the finish line.
