Premier Women’s football got underway in Gauteng last weekend, while the rest of the leagues are scheduled to kick off this weekend.

The action kicked off in Gauteng , where there were a number of emphatic scorelines, as Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies walloped Pull Together 14-0 at Chloorkop on Saturday, 1 April, while defending Gauteng champions JVW thrashed VUT 8-0 at the Bedfordview Stadium the following day.

TUT-PTA  and Croesus Ladies were also big winners on match day one, winning 7-0 and 8-1 respectively.

Moving to the Western Cape, UWC Ladies will look to make another trip to the National championships this year and will be determined to continue their quest this weekend when they take on Southern Stars at the Loerie Park Stadium on Saturday, 8 April.

2015 Western Cape winners, Cape Town Rose travel to the Lingelethu Stadium to face RV United on Friday, 7 April, while Vasco da Gama hosts Portia United at Park on the same day.

There are two streams in the Northern Cape Sasol league, however fixtures are yet to get underway, with both streams only scheduled to commence their respective campaigns on Saturday 22, April 2017.

The Mpumalanga stream will get their season up and running this weekend, with eight fixtures kicking off at 12h00 on Saturday, 8 April 2017.

Coal City Wizards have won the Mpumalanga stream for the last two seasons and they finished fourth at the 2016 National Championship.

The Free State conference produced the current National Championship winners, with Bloemfontein Celtic defeating Gauteng’s JVW 1-0 in the 2016 final.

Celtic will get the defence of their title underway this weekend when they host Grassland Ladies at the Westdende on Saturday, 8 April 2017.

The other seven Free State encounters will also take on place Saturday.
