Head coach of the Burger King-sponsored South African u20 Men’s National Team (Amajita), Thabo Senong, has made three changes to the team that will face Zambia in the semi final of the 2017 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The clash takes place this evening (Wednesday, 8 March 2017) at National Heroes Stadium, in Lusaka, Zambia.

Kickoff is at 18h00.

Goalkeeper Mondli Mpoto retains his place in goals.

Left back Notha Ngcobo returns while Thendo Mukumela is the other fullback. Captain Tercious Malepe will partner with Sandile Mthethwa in central defence.

Wiseman Meyiwa will anchor the midfield with Teboho Mokoena, while the trio of Luther Singh, Grant Margemen and Sibongakonke Mbatha will form part of the attacking unit.

Khanyisa Mayo makes his debut in the tournament as the lone striker.

This will be the third meeting between the two countries – South Africa lost on both previous occasions – firstly in the final of the COSAFA Cup in December 2016, and also earlier this year in a pre-tournament friendly match.
