Technical Director and former Bafana Bafana captain Neil Tovey believes Ghana are well placed to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations title in Gabon.

The Black Stars narrowly missed out to Ivory Coast two years ago on penalties and Tovey said things could turn out well for Ghana this time around. They are in Group D along with Mali, Uganda and Egypt.

Tovey credited the Black Stars for their consistency in reaching the finals and doing well in the last couple of Editions.

Ghana are one of the most successful teams in Africa’s biggest football showpiece, having won it in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.

They last tasted continental glory 35 years ago and Tovey said he was putting his money on the Black Stars to turn things around around in Gabon.
