South Africa will begin the Cameroon2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with an away match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in June this year in what is expected to be an explosive encounter.

Bafana Bafana were drawn against Nigeria, Libya and Seychelles in Group E in a tournament that will take place in Cameroon in 2019.

“There was never going to be an easy draw but I am very happy with this one. It should be a direct shoot out between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria but I am confident that we should progress in this group,” said SAFA

President Dr Danny Jordaan who attended the draw in the Gabonese capital of Libreville on Thursday evening.

Bafana Bafana open the campaign with a tricky away match against the Super Eagles in Nigeria. The match is scheduled for 3-13 June 2017 with the host country at liberty to decide the exact date. On the same calendar date, Libya will be at home to Seychelles.

The next AFCON 2019 qualifier will be in March next year when South Africa welcome Libya and Seychelles entertain Nigeria in another Group E match.
