Sasol Banyana Banyana arrived in Limbe, Cameroon in high spirits ahead of their third and final Group A match against Egypt scheduled for Friday, 25 November 2016.

Banyana Banyana currently have one point from two matches following their goalless draw and 1-0 loss against Zimbabwe and tournament host Cameroon respectively. However, interim Coach Desiree Ellis believes they still have a good chance of making it past the Pharaohs and qualify for the CAF AWCON semi-finals in second position behind the Lioness’ of Cameroon.

The hosts are clear on top of the log with six points having won all their two matches.

“We have worked hard with the video analysts and have studied the Egyptians thoroughly. We know their style of play, but the most important thing we must be concerned with is how we execute our own game plan,” said Ellis.

The technical team has called upon players on numerous occasions the need to convert their chances and in Friday’s do or die encounter, Ellis has again underscored the same philosophy.

Banyana Banyana and Egypt lock horns at 16h00 local time (SA time 17h00) at Limbe Omnisports Stadium.
