Bafana Bafana arrived in the Mozambican capital of Maputo on Sunday afternoon, 24 hours after beating highly fancied Senegal in a crucial 2018 World Cup Russia qualifier that took place at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 12 November 2016.

South Africa will play Mozambique in a friendly international at a 40 000-seater Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo.

Assistant coach Owen da Gama will be in charge of the team in absence of Ephraim Shakes Mashaba who did not travel with the team after being charged by the Association.

Da Gama will be assisted by Thabo Senong who is also the Amajita mentor.

Kick off for the match is at 19h00.

The Bafana Bafana team looked in boisterous mood despite having had little rest between Saturday’s World Cup qualifier and the journey to Mozambique.

They touched down in Maputo soon after lunch and had to forego any training on Sunday.

They will train at 19h00 on Monday before returning to South Africa on Wednesday.
