The Sasol sponsored South African Women’s National team (Banyana Banyana will be looking for nothing less than a win, when they face the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe in an international friendly on Thursday afternoon.

The match will take place at the Zimbabwean National Sports Stadium and kick off is scheduled for 15h00.

Interim Coach Desiree Ellis has made six changes to the starting eleven for this encounter ahead of the highly anticipated 10th Edition of the CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations; which gets underway on 19 November 2016 in Cameroon.

“We need all the players to get game time before we get to Cameroon; therefore we felt it best to make these changes now.”

Andile Dlamini will retain her spot between the poles, after an impressive performance against Egypt three weeks back.

Janine Van Wyk will captain the ship and will play in the heart of defence and will be supported by Bambanani Mbane; while Leandra Smeda and Nothando Vilakazi will control the left and right flanks respectively.

Nompumelelo Nyandeni will anchor the midfield with the support of Thembi Kgatlana and Refileo Jane on her flanks while the new kid on the block Linda Motlhalo will support the attack upfront.

The striking pair for this encounter will be Silindile Ngubane and Shiwe Nogwanya.
