The FIFA Women’s Administration course got underway under the stewardship of renowned FIFA instructor Ebru Koksal at SAFA National Technical Centre on Monday, 17 October 2016.

The 30 participants currently work within the national and regional SAFA structures.

SAFA NEC member and Chairperson of the Competitions Committee, Ms Nomsa Mahlangu who was present at the opening ceremony asked the participants to take full advantage of such courses to uplift themselves and the game.

“Who would have ever thought FIFA would appoint a woman as the Secretary General and an African for that matter. Women need to understand that you can achieve what you set your heart on.

The United Nations is currently working on a campaign to improve the world and football is a medium that can be used to change the world. SAFA’s 2022 Vision focuses on 8 frameworks which are in line with the UN campaign and we have to implement that to build a better South Africa;” said Ms Mahlangu.
