Banyana Banyana will face neighbours Zimbabwe in their opening match of the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 19th November to 3rd December in Yaounde and Limbe.

Banyana Banyana will face neighbours Zimbabwe in their opening match of the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 19th November to 3rd December in Yaounde and Limbe.

The South African’s were drawn against Zimbabwe, Egypt and hosts Cameroon.

The draw took place on Sunday, 18 September in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The opening match of the tournament will be between the hosts and Egypt on Saturday, 19 November at the Yaounde Stadium, kicking off at 16h30 South African time (15h30 local time).

Banyana Banyana and Zimbabwe meet a few hours later (18h30 South African time) at the same venue.

The two nations recently went to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games but could not proceed to the second round.

The last time they met, Banyana Banyana edged out Zimbabwe with a strike Jermaine Seoposenwe – the match took place on Sunday, 15 May, as part of preparations for the Olympic Games.

The second match at the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations pits South Africa and Cameroon on Tuesday, 22 November at Yaounde Stadium.

Kickoff is at 17h00 SA time.

The final group stage matches will be played simultaneously.

Banyana Banyana will travel to Limbe Stadium to tackle Egypt on Friday, 25 November, while Cameroon will lock horns with Zimbabwe at Yaounde Stadium.

Kickoff for both encounters is at 17h00 South African time.

The semi-finals have been scheduled for Tuesday, 29 November, with the winner of Group A taking on the loser of Group B in the first match at 17h00 SA time at Yaounde Stadium.

Limbe Stadium will host the second semi-final three hours later (20h00 SA Time).

The third and fourth place play-off will be played on Friday, 2 December in Yaounde, while the final will be contested on Saturday, 3 December at the same venue.
