The South African Football Association (SAFA) is currently running their week long workshops on FIFA Grassroots programme as well as the Live Your Goals project in Welkom, Free State.

The events will be hosted by the SAFA Legweleputswa region, in line with implementing Vision 2022.

The workshop got underway on Tuesday, 13 September 2016, with 30 prominent coaches in attendance.

“Many of the participants present here have been part of the football set up for many years. When they were introducing themselves to everyone, we got the sense of the passion amongst the group,” said Vincent Tseka, Regional President of SAFA Lejweleputswa.

“As the Association we are very happy to have a huge number of women participating in these workshops because it shows that we are building on empowering females to become potential coaches. South Africa is blessed with people who love football. They are also aware that not everyone will succeed as a player but that there are many other opportunities to still be part of the football fraternity.”

The Grassroots program runs until Thursday, 15 September 2016, while the FIFA Live Your Goals project will be held from Friday, 16 September 2016 to Saturday 17 September 2016.

Both events will take place in Welkom, Free State.
