KZN Kay Motsepe Provincial Finals were held on Saturday 3 September 2016 at the George Campbell School of Technology in Durban.
The KZN Finals were contested by 10 schools Glenwood High School, Buhlebuyeza High School, Sekusile Secondary School, Mount Currie, Umbambangalo High School, Machanca Secondary School, uMfolozi High School, Mangcengeza High School, Ndalela High School and Tholokuhle High School.
The teams were divided into three groups and Glenwood High school were undoubtedly the Kings having played 5 matches on the day winning all of them.
The final was a closely contested event with Glenwood playing Sekusile for the second time on one day. The match was eventually settled through a great team goal from Glenwood High which was scored with 8 minutes to go to full time.
Glenwood High School and Sekusile High School will represent the KZN Province in the Kay Motsepe Schools Cup National Finals to be held in Gauteng from 3 – 8 October 2016.
Glenwood High School received R100000-00 for their efforts which will go towards the improvements of the school.
