SAFA says they are happy that the transfer window period deadline, (which was on 31 August 2016) passed without any hiccup.

“It was a flawless exercise and both SAFA and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) witnessed one of the most perfect exercises ever,” said SAFA general manager Corporate Affairs, Ms Pinky Lehoko who together with PSL CEO Mato Madlala oversaw the process.

Ms Lehoko once again lauded the new FIFA Transfer Matching System which she said made the entire procedure smooth sailing.

“I can confirm that all clubs were on the ball and were in full compliance with all the requirements. This goes to show our game has transformed into a more professional and efficient entity,” she said.

“There were no hiccups and by 12 midnight when the system officially closed, we had hardly faced any problems; everything worked well and according to plan.
