Match day two of the 2016 Durban U19 International Tournament produced a great number of goals as both TP Mazembe and South Africa National U19 secured a crucial 3 points at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, today, 29/07/16.

In the first game of Group B encounter, the African giants TP Mazembe from Democratic Republic of Congo beat Fluminense from Brazil 2-1. It took TP Mazembe just 17 minutes to open the score sheet after Kisangala Crhist nicely converted a great cross from the right. The Samba boys put so much pressure on the TP Mazembe defence but they failed to crack the strong back four as the first half ended 1-0 in favour of the Congolese giants.

With just 7 minutes in to the second half, TP Mazembe were forced to make a substitution after Banza Alexis got an injury and Mbayo Meschack came in. A confusion in the 55th minutes by the Mazembe defenders saw Fluminense getting an equaliser after Meschack failed to connect a pass and Pedro Pimentel made no mistake, 1-1. A great ball by man of the match Kisangala saw Skipper Likonza Glody scoring the winner for TP Mazembe in the 70th minute.

A second game of the day was a five goal thriller as South Africa National U19 scored in the dying minutes of the game to secure a 3-2 win over Rangers Football Club from Scotland. South Africa National U19 show a great display of football in the first minutes of the first half and that nearly resulted in a goal but Nelson Maluleka failed to convert in the 18th minute.

A great attacking football by South Africa resulted in a goal as Khanyisa Mayo tap-in from a cross in the 27 minutes. South Africa were force to make a substitution as Nelson Maluleka’s injury that he suffered early in the game got serious and Tebogo Qinisile came in. The national side came in hard for the Scottish side but failed to find the second goal ahead to the half time ended in a 1-0.

Rangers’ substitutions in the second half of the game work in favour of them as they were able to find the equaliser in the 63rd minute. SA National U19 tried to respond in the 64th minutes with Kammies’s beautiful volley but it went over the bar. Looked like Rangers had told themselves that they will settle for a point as they defended the 2 all draw and they were caught wanting at the back as Tebogo Qinisile who came in as a substitute replacing an injured Maluleka secured a winning goal for the national side in 90th minute.
