Kings United of KZN on Thursday, 16 June 2016 took a firm grip of Group A in the ongoing ABC Motsepe National play offs here in Bloemfontein with a hard won 1-0 win over Orbit College from North West.
Kings United of KZN on Thursday, 16 June 2016 took a firm grip of Group A in the ongoing ABC Motsepe National play offs here in Bloemfontein with a hard won 1-0 win over Orbit College from North West.
The KZN side are now on seven points followed by Western Cape’s Steenberg United who are on six points with both teams having played three matches and having a game to go.
Steenberg beat Apollo X1 FC from Mpumalanga 4-0 in a one-sided affair.
Meanwhile in Group B, Magesi FC of Limpopo consolidated their position at the top of Group B standing with a narrow 1-0 win over hosts Manco Milano also on Thursday.
Magesi now have a maximum of six points from two games and are now firm favourites to go through to Sunday’s final for a place in the National First Division (NDF).
In another Group B match JDR Stars came from behind to beat Morester Jeug 2-1 in another exciting encounter.
In tomorrow’s (Friday, 17 June 2016) Group B matches, JDR play Magesi and Manco Milano meet Morester Jeug in Botshabelo and Mangaung respectively.
