Acclaimed FIFA, CAF and SAFA coaching Instructor Urban John Daniel Alexander de Kock who died on Sunday, 5 June will be buried in his hometown of Kokstad on Saturday, 11 June.

Acclaimed FIFA, CAF and SAFA coaching Instructor Urban John Daniel Alexander de Kock who died on Sunday, 5 June will be buried in his hometown of Kokstad on Saturday, 11 June.

De Kock began the South African Coaching Education and was one of the most competent coaching instructors, a good mentor and knew the game of football, according to SAFA’s assistant TD Fran Hilton Smith.

He was the only South African facilitator of the Level 3 coaching license; the highest professional license in the country. He was also the first South African to facilitate the CAF A License in South Africa in 2013, a historic coaching course attended by all South African top coaches including national coaches.

De Kock who was born in 1962, died suddenly at his home in Kokstad of cardiac arrest.
