South Africa’s national u20 national team, Amajita held their first training session at the Nike Training Centre in Pimville, Soweto on Thursday ahead of their second round first leg CAF u20 African Youth championships match against Namibia scheduled for next Saturday, 21 May in Windhoek’s Sam Nujoma stadium.

South Africa’s national u20 national team, Amajita held their first training session at the Nike Training Centre in Pimville, Soweto on Thursday ahead of their second round first leg CAF u20 African Youth championships match against Namibia scheduled for next Saturday, 21 May in Windhoek’s Sam Nujoma stadium.

The team went into camp on Thursday and will leave for Namibia next week Thursday, 19 May for Saturday’s showpiece in which the winner will play either Mozambique or Lesotho for the final ticket to Zambia where the AYC will take place from February to March 2017.

Coach Thabo Senong said he was excited about the prospect of this team doing well in the qualifiers.

“We are eager to get this team united as soon as possible. We know how talented these boys are but combinations and teamwork will be very important,” said Senong.

There are currently 35 players who have been invited to the selection camp but the squad will be cut down to 20 players over the weekend.
