Banyana Banyana beat hosts Cameroon 2-0 in the first of two international friendly matches in Douala, Cameroon on Easter Friday.

The second friendly match will take place on Monday, 28 March and coach Vera Pauw’s charges will look forward to wrap up a good work-out ahead of the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In Easter Friday’s encounter, Banyana Banyana went to the break leading 1-0 through a goal by defender Lebohang Ramalepe before rounding off a good win through a second half goal by Mpumi Nyandeni.

The match marked a historic moment for captain Janine van Wyk who was playing in her 124th match for Banyana Banyana and matched Portia Modise’s same number of games.
