South Africa’s u23 National team head coach Owen da Gama says he was spoilt for choice as he prepares to name his final squad to take part in the CAF 8-Nations tournament in Senegal starting end of this month.

The coach would be naming his final 21-man squad this coming week.

“We are satisfied with all the players who have featured in the u23 squad this year; it will be a long week for me and the technical team as we have to select only 21 players who will travel to Senegal for the u23 African Nations Cup.

“The practice match against Sundowns just proved the talent we have at our disposal, midfielder Phakamani Mahlambi and goalkeeper King Ndlovu also played this morning and they impressed me very much that they have just confused us even more in terms of who gets dropped and who is selected for Senegal,” said Da Gama.

The squad checked out of national camp and will return to camp on 22 November 2015 to polish up their final preparations before heading to Senegal as they aim to get one of the top three spots at the u23 African Nations Cup, to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
