It’s one day to the kick off of the 2015 FIFA World Cup U-17, and Amajimbos captain Nelson Maluleke and teammates are eagerly awaiting their first-ever World Cup participation when they take on Costa Rica on Monday, 19 October 2015.

“The mood in the camp is very high, and we cannot wait to play on Monday. We have been in Concepcion for two days now in our base camp and the World Cup is now becoming a visual reality to us.

“We urge all South Africans to support us and watch our progress in this world showpiece because we are here to compete, we carry our nation and the African continent’s pride on our shoulders and we will do you proud.  Our support staff has been fully behind us from the day we qualified for this world cup and we know our objectives,” said Maluleke.

The Burger King-sponsored South African U-17 National Team will play against Costa Rica U-17 on Monday, 19 October 2015 at 17:00 (SA time 22:00) at Estadio Municipal Ester Roa.
