The South African Men’s u17 National Team, Amajimbos, will be hoping to implement lessons learnt from their recent matches against Brazil and Chile when they face New Zealand in their final warm-up match.

The South African Men’s u17 National Team, Amajimbos, will be hoping to implement lessons learnt from their recent matches against Brazil and Chile when they face New Zealand in their final warm-up match ahead of the start of the 2015 FIFA u17 Men’s World Cup tournament.

The Burger King-sponsored Amajimbos face New Zealand on Monday, 12 October at Estádio Municipal Lo Barnechea in Santiago, Chile.

Kickoff time is 17h00 local time in Chile (midnight SA time).

Amajimbos have been in Santiago for the last six days where they played South American opposition, Brazil and Chile.

“The boys are in high spirits and are eager to get the world cup campaign off the ground. We have taken many notes from the two matches we have already played, and we will implement the lessons learnt in our match against New Zealand. We will be looking for a win this time round as this will be able to assist the boys with their confidence levels ahead of our opening match of the tournament on Monday, 19 October 2015,” said Amajimbos head coach Molefi Ntseki.

The South African will then move to their World Cup base camp in nearby Concepcion on Tuesday, 13 October.

Amajimbos kick start their campaign in Group E on against Costa Rica. This will be followed by a clash against Korea DPR on Thursday, 22 October and Russia on Sunday, 25 October.
