Amajimbos continue with their hectic training sessions ahead of the highly anticipated 2015 FIFA World Cup. There are currently 26 players in the camp however coach Molefi Ntseki has a difficult task ahead of him as he will have to cut 5 players from the squad ahead of the team departure to Chile.
“It is sad that only 21 players can be registered for the World Cup and we have been working alongside the University of Johannesburg to build the mental strength of the players.
“Over the last month we have had sessions with a Psychologist to prepare the boys for the task ahead, we have also made it clear to the player that whoever is dropped it is not because they are not good enough to be here, it is just a matter of the tournament rules, and they will still have the opportunity to represent the country in the u20 team,”says Coach Ntseki.
Amajimbos will have a friendly practice match behind closed doors against Chile tomorrow 24 September 2015 ahead of the farewell match against Chile on 27 September 2015 at Athlone Stadium, kick off is scheduled for 15:00.
