The National U23 Men’s Team have also suffered some injury blows ahead of their trip to Tunisia as they continue with preparations for the 8 Nations Tournament to be held in Senegal from 18 November – 18 December 2015. The team will play two friendly matches against the North Africans in Tunis on 4 and 7 September respectively.

Ajax Cape Town starlets Abbubaker Mobark and Riyaad Norodien reported for camp with niggling injuries after their world class display at the MTN 8 semi final against Bidvest Wits. Ntuthuko Radebe who plies his trade at a Belgium side K.A.S Eupen F.C did not make the trip back to South Africa due to injury.

“Mobarak has a knock on the ankle while Norodien is struggling with an aggravated groin, we received medical reports from Radebe’s club and we then came to the decision that they do not travel,” said Dr Dlamini.

“These players do not have major injuries but we do not want to risk them so early in the season, we hope that they will be hundred percent come the time of the 8 Nations and that the clubs will release them to us again.”

Coach Owen Da Gama has called up Seun Ledwaba who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns as a left and right back to replace the injured Radebe and has requested the release of two players who are yet to be announced to replace the Ajax duo. The National u23 team will depart for Tunisia on Wednesday evening, 2 September 2015.
