Amajimbos concluded the weekend training camp in high spirits after playing a practice match against the University of Johannesburg.

The squad spent the weekend in camp undergoing medical and scientific tests as the countdown to the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup continues.

“The players are very excited about the upcoming World Cup and one thing is for sure, we will be going to Chile to compete and not to add numbers,” said captain Nelson Maluleke.

“We are confident that we will do well in our group against Russia, Korea DPR and Costa Rica, we are not afraid of any of our opponents and some of the tests we had to do yesterday will come in handy at the world cup.

“We were taught about self-confidence and how to manage your fear and nervousness and these tips will defiantly enhance our abilities. We are grateful to the association for giving us this opportunity and I am extremely proud of my teammates for this world record we have set. South African u17 National team participating in our first ever world cup,” concludes Maluleke.
