South Africa made their intentions very from the first whistle as they aimed for revenge against VfB Stuttgart who were the only team in the tournament to beat them in the group stages.

The attacking combination of Makgalwa, Masegela and Phohlongo had the back four of Stuttgart very confused throughout the first half with the goalkeeper Buntic keeping his side in the match.

Within the first 20 minutes of the match the South Africans had managed two set pieces and a shot from range but still the score was deadlocked at 0-0.

Masilakhe Phohlongo found the back of the net in the 34th minutes with an easy tap in after a wonderful team effort in attack and the South Africans went into the halftime break leading 1-0.

The second half started off a bit more quiet than the first with Stuttgart making a double substitution to try and get back into the match.

Coach Thabo Senong then made his first substitution in the 50th minute in a tactical substitution that saw Masegela come off for Mokoena as the South Africans continued in search for revenge and a second goal.

The second goal was found by Keletso Makgalwa in the 63rd minute after miscommunication in Stuttgart defense which gave him the opportunity to steal the ball and sneak it into the back of the net.

Makgalwa walked away with his second match on the match performance in the tournament and the South African u19 squad finished in third place at the 2015 Durban u19 International Tournament.
