The South African u19 National squad held their only training session ahead of their Durban u19 International Football Tournament against Turkish giants Galatasaray on Wednesday evening at the George Campbell High School in Durban.

“We had a short session today but we addressed the priorities for tomorrow with the boys,” said coach Thabo Senong.

“The boys are looking forward to playing against Galatasaray but we have to make sure we win our opening match. In any tournament it is important to win your first match so that we release the pressure from the players and technical team. We have to make sure that we play our style of football tomorrow which is passing the ball on the ground, keeping possession and seek for opportunities to score.”

South Africa will face Galatasaray in the second match of the day at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont just outside Durban. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:15 and matches are live on SuperSport 4.
