Neil Tovey paid Amajimbos a visit on Friday at their regeneration session in Durban and congratulated them for qualify for the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.
The South African Football Association’s newly appointed Technical Director Neil Tovey paid Amajimbos a visit on Friday at their regeneration session in Durban and his first declaration to the boys was congratulating them for qualify for the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.
“International football is a completely different experience as some of you have noticed when you play at the CAF U17 CAN earlier this year. I believe that as a team you guys have the potential to compete in Chile and yes the nation is extremely proud of you for this achievement, but now is time that you will have to dig deep into your individuality and want to do great for yourselves.
“Each and every one of you must go to the World Cup with a list of objectives as to what you want to achieve firstly as a unit and secondly as an individual because when you go to Chile you will realize that the world has become your oyster,” said Tovey.
“Once again congratulations on this huge milestone and I wish you all the best for the future, this team is also evidence that we are moving forward as a footballing nation,” concluded Tovey.
Amajimbos will play their last practice match on Saturday 11 July 2015 against the Hoy Park Academy at the George Campbell High School at 11am.
