Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Itumeleng Khune has warned the players to guard against complacency when South Africa play Mauritius at Anjalay Stadium in the return CHAN leg this afternoon. Kick-off is at 15h00 (13h00 SA time).

In a passionate plea to the team last night, the imposing goalkeeper appealed to his charges to be wary of a wounded Mauritius.

“They will really come at us. They have the supporters behind them and would give it a go. Let us not be complacent and underestimate what they can do.

“We should go out there and get an early goal to settle down,” he told the players at pre-match meeting.

The overall winner of today’s encounter will meet either Angola or Swaziland in the final qualifier where the ultimate winner proceeds to the finals in Rwanda next year.

Bafana Bafana are expected to arrive at OR Tambo Airport tomorrow, Monday, 6 July at 11h30.
