During this time, Sasol will embark on hosting the Sasol league roadshows. At these roadshows, players will get an opportunity to showcase their skills to the Banyana Banyana technical team.
The league officially kicked-off in April, with only eight provinces, while KwaZulu Natal only got their 2015 season underway at the end of last month.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, KwaZulu Natal only started their season this past month. All other provinces are on track with their seasons which are running accordingly,” said SAFA Competitions Director, Balebetse Monnakgotla.
The University of Pretoria ladies lead the log standings in Gauteng’s stream A with 20 points from eight matches. Defending champions, Palace Super Falcons follow in 2nd place with just a point less from seven matches. Meanwhile, Croesus are sitting top of the log in stream B with 25 points from nine matches.
Western Cape and Free State were the first provinces to commence with the 2015 season, which got underway in March and are in week 13 of their fixtures. Both provinces compete in a one stream format of 16 teams.
National Champions, Cape Town Roses look set to replicate their 2014 season in Western Cape, with 39 points from 13 matches. The side which boasts of young players finished their 2014 season without a single loss, while Bloemfontein Celtic ladies is also top of the standings in the Free State with 39 points from 13 matches.
In the North West, We–Can Ladies hold the lead with 25 points, having played more games (9) than the other teams. The 2014 provincial champions, Titans are in 5th place with 18 points having played eight matches only.
In other provinces, Coal City Wizards tops stream A in Mpumalanga with 15 points from five matches, while Flamingo FC lead the pack in stream B with 13 points, also from five matches. Royal Wizards and Black spurs are unbeaten in four matches as they both lead stream A and B in the Northern Cape with 12 points respectively.
In Limpopo, Mphanama Ladies sit top of the log with 12 points in stream A, while Botlokwa Ladies and Sisters Ladies FC are joint in first place in stream B. City Lads FC top the Eastern Cape coastal stream with 17 points from seven matches, while Red Roses lead the Inland stream with 19 points from the same number of games.
