Under-17 National Team (Amajimbos)

Team History

The South African Under 17 played their first game on September 18 in 1993 in the city of johannesburg at Soccer City which is formerly known as the FNB Stadium, even though the game ended in a goalless draw, the boys were in high spirits and excited to have represented their country for the first time as a national team. The following is the team that represented South Africa against Zambia:-

Wayne Roberts,
Sihle Nkabinde, Mark Heinrich (Rory Baillie), Victor Lechesa, Phillip Nyambe (Fuzile Nkumada), George Ndaba (Moebisi Mumbo), Jethro Mohlala, Junaid Hartley, Aaron Gubuza (Dino Wietz), Delron Buckley, Mohamed Bhamjee.
