Palace Super Falcons keep flying high in Sasol League action

Johannesburg – Sasol League National Champions Palace Super Falcons kept on the winning trails as they increased their lead at the top of the Gauteng Sasol League stream in weekend action.

The Tembisa-based national title-holders beat Tuks Sport FC 4-0 in Tshwane to move to 28 points from ten outings, while nearest challengers Croesus Ladies were held to a 3-all draw by Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies in Midrand.
Croesus Ladies are now three points off the pace having played one match more than Palace Super Falcons.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are in third spot on 23 points from 10 games.

In the Free State Province – Bloemfontein Celtics maintained their six point lead at the top of the Free State Sasol League stream, with a 2-0 win over Free State Doves, and now find themselves on 39 points from 13 matches. Maestro, who have played the same amount of games as the log-leaders, recorded a 2-1 win away from home against Sasolburg Ladies to remain in second spot on 33 points.

In the North West Province– Hallelujah Zebra Force continued their dominance of the North West Sasol League, taking their 100 percent winning streak to 13 matches, after a home win over Als Puk Tawana.
Western Tigers, who have played one match more than Hallelujah Zebra Force, beat Mmokeng Ladies FC 2-1, and are in second spot on the log six points off the pace.

In the Limpopo Province – Ma-Indies kept their 100 percent record intact, with a 2-0 home win over Queens FC, while Brazilians – two points off the pace but having played one match more than Ma-Indies – beat Mahwelwreng United Ladies 2-0.

In Mpumalanga Province – Detroit Ladies, winners of the inaugural Sasol League national title in 2009, won their 13th consecutive match of the Sasol League season, in beating Francis Ladies 1-0, while second-placed Flamingo remain five points behind the log leaders after a 2-0 win over Citizen FC. Flamingo have played one match more than the top side.

In the Western Cape Province - Spurs WFC, who are involved in a titanic battle with Santos and Cape Town Roses at the top of the provincial Sasol League, put 11 goals without reply past Milano United. Spurs, now have won all of their 13 matches this season.
Cape Town Roses, who represented the Western Cape at last year’s Sasol League National Championships held in Polokwane, are second on the log three points behind but with a game in hand, following a 5-1 home win over Red Eagles. Santos account for Red Eagles 4-1 to move to 29 points from 12 games – in third spot on the Sasol League table.

In the Eastern Cape Province – City Lads moved to 26 points from 10 matches at the top of the Sasol League A stream, after a 5-0 win over bottom-of-the-log Liverpool.
Second-on-the-log Thunderbirds remain eight points behind the log-leaders despite a 3-0 win at home to Manchester Babes.

In the Eastern Cape Sasol League B stream, Eastern Rangers FC beat Vivo Ladies 2-0 to move to the top of the log, on 22 points from nine games, while Coastal Ladies (21 points from seven games) were not in action at the weekend.

In the Northern Cape Province – Galeshewe Ladies were held to a goal-less draw away to Super Eagles Ladies, and lost ground on log-leaders Royal Wazard Ladies who moved further ahead in the Sasol League A stream with a 7-1 win over Ritchie All Stars. Royal Wazard Ladies now have 27 points from 12 games.

In the Northern Cape Sasol League B stream, top-of-the-log RC Mills suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 2-0 away to Laxey United and remain on 33 points from 12 games. Second-placed Black Eagles Ladies made up a bit of ground in beating Girl Warriors 2-1 but are still 11 points behind.

In KwaZulu Natal Province – Ntuzumu United and Durban Ladies both won their Sasol League A stream matches to remain in an epic title race in the Sasol League A stream.
Ntuzumu United beat Real City 3-1 to move to 22 points from eight games, while Durban Ladies triumphed 2-0 over Kokstad Lucky Stars, to be on 21 points from the same amount of matches played as the log-leaders.

In the Sasol League KwaZulu Natal B stream, Ducks remain at the top of the log on goal average after they and Umlazi Citizen moved to 22 points after weekend wins. Ducks beat DM Stars 2-1, but have played one match less than Umlazi Citizen who scored a 3-2 win over Local United.
