Referees' Workshop In Ghana Accra

The African Football Referees’ Committee has selected two South African referees to attend the workshop in Accra Ghana. The two are South Africa’s most experienced referees, Jerome Damon and Enoch Molefe. The weeklong workshop will comprise of fitness tests and medical tests, in Accra. Damon and Molefe will leave for Ghana from 26th of November to 3rd of December 2007. The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) Chairman of referees Kirsten Nematandani has wished the pair well in the forthcoming intensive fitness test routine. “Jerome and Enock have always maintained high level of fitness and their hard work is reflected in the quality of officiating they display, As SAFA we are optimistic that the two will do the country proud in next year’s African Cup of Nations tournament in Ghana;” added Nematandani.
In another development, SAFA’s head of referees’ development Carlos Henriques has announced dates for the National Fitness test, and they are as follows:

In the meantime Henriques says his office is still finalizing dates for fitness tests in Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and the North West Province.
