SAFA Introductory Coaching Course

The South African Football Association (SAFA), through its coaching department, will conduct an Introductory Coaching Course in Kimberly, with the first phase scheduled from 18-21 February 2010. The Sol Plaatjies Local Football Association (LFA), in conjunction with the Department of Sport and Recreation, are the driving forces behind the initiative.

The 35 registered participants, four of them aspiring female coaches, will take part in the three day coaching course. The course will include an intense training program, as well as practical and theory advancement programmes. The development of youth football will also be a subject offered in the course.

Technical Manager of the SAFA Coaching Department, Conti Khubeka, together with Willem Klink, head coach of the Sol Plaatjies LFA, will be conducting the course.

The second phase of the course is scheduled to take place from 18 – 21 March 2010.
