The Credentialing, Licensing and Validation of Coaches
The South African Football Coaching Qualifications Commission was established by the Technical Committee. Safa in now a Licenced Training Service Provider for SRSA.
The system has the following among its objectives:
- Monitor the annual/bi annual coaching education programme
- Foster and maintain co-operation with national education policy framework (South African Qualifications Authority)
- Certification and licensing of coaches qualifications approved by SAFA and THETA
- Accreditation of individuals and existing academies
- Provide technical assistance to National Teams
- Formulating and updating the curriculum regularly
- Identify and recommend district, regional and national youth coaches
- Ensure that module syllabus is equivalent to International Standards and FIFA approved
