The Credentialing, Licensing and Validation of Coaches

 

The South African Football Coaching Qualifications Commission was established by the Technical Committee.  Safa in now a Licenced Training Service Provider for SRSA.

 

The system has the following among its objectives:

  • Monitor the annual/bi annual coaching education programme
  • Foster and maintain co-operation with national education policy framework (South African Qualifications Authority)
  • Certification and licensing of coaches qualifications approved by SAFA and THETA
  • Accreditation of individuals and existing academies
  • Provide technical assistance to National Teams
  • Formulating and updating the curriculum regularly
  • Identify and recommend district, regional and national youth coaches
  • Ensure that module syllabus is equivalent to International Standards and FIFA approved
