Banyana Prepare For Namibia

| The South African National Women's Team Banyana Banyana will play against Namibia in an International friendly; the match will be played at the Caledonian Stadium in Pretoria at 3pm on Saturday 23 May 2009.
Banyana will use the Namibia match as part of the preparations for the upcoming 4 Nations tournament which will feature hosts Netherlands, China and Switzerland. The tournament is scheduled for 07 to 16 July 2009. Team Manager Fran Hilton Smith says Banyana Banyana were invited due to their good performance at the recent Cyprus 8 Nations tournament. |

“Banyana's big picture is the World Cup in Germany 2011 and coach Augustine Makalakalane is preparing well in advance,"says Hilton Smith.
In recent weeks Makalakalane has visited SAFA regions on the SASOL talent identification Road-show, and some new talented players were identified.
New inclusions in the Banyana team are Mamphashe Popela (Flamingo Stars), Innocent Bekebeke (RC Mills) and Wendy Bellora (Luso FC)
